Hello and always a warm welcome to you,
You are appreciated.
Lets us walk together in mind a minute.
Tough times strike at any time, and we all experience them sometimes.
Be mindful of how you self-soothe during pain including alcohol and drugs, poor health habits, ways you speak to others and the energy you bring to a situation. It is not your words but what you do that counts.
How do we navigate these tough times?
1.There’s nothing like a sad song when you’re wallowing in pain, but you can also choose inspiring music to encourage you during bad days. It feels good to get a good cry out every once in awhile yet more important are the energizing and reflective songs that make you feel good, empowered and strong.
2. We are all only human. We WILL mess up – often and in big ways. Here’s the good thing about this?!
3. You aren’t alone. And mistakes are just one more way to rule out what not to do, bringing you closer to the right choices for your life.
4. When we experience a tough time, we can either let it paralyze us into stress, anxiety and worry, or we can use the pain to propel us ahead. I like the latter!
5. It’s up to you to decide how you will respond to stress. Painful situations have the weird tendency to help us get through stress more positively IF we let the lessons emerge and follow through on them.
6. You discover true relationships. Those who stand by you even when you are at your worst. That type of love can be our anchor when painful times happen and help us to love others back.
7. There is nothing like cuddling up to a furry friend when you need to escape pain. Animals can’t talk back. They don’t expect anything from us except love. A little fact: a dog is the only animal that feels the same loving energy as a human when being hugged.
8. When you choose to move beyond your present, let it go: At times help is needed. Always seek help if you yourself cannot let it go.
9. Also, try breaking your normal routine and head to a new place. Seeing other people in new environments engages your brain and body in something new instead of wallowing in the sameness or self berating.
The old saying goes that without a little sadness you don’t appreciate the happy times. If life were just one steady experience of sameness, we truly would not know when a good time is really good. It's about going with the flow..
Don't become attached to labels such as victim or survivor; you are a victor and a striver, a student of life- teaching you that nothing stays the same, that change is constant, and that this too will pass, just as the river passes.
In these tough darker moments know that it's your lifes way
