Now no one knows exactly what it’s like to walk in your shoes.
And when things dont go well it's easy to talk yourself into feeling like a "Failure"
Yet what is deemed failing is also a great teaching, when you position it well.
WHEN YOU ARE HURTING:
It can seem as though people understand your journey even less.
That oyu are alone in your battles.
It’s up to you to dig deep to find the strength to get through each day even when you feel like curling into a ball in a dark room all day.
YOU HAVE POWER:
You have the power to make choices for your life.
To choose to recognize that these moments of opposites, of feelings and challenges are a necessary part of growth.
That resilience must be learnt.
I often use what I call Benefit to Ratio Technique.
This simple method can be used at any age, in many ways.
In fact I have been coaching our 10 year old grandson on its power. He's naturally anxious when it comes to trying new and in his eyes scary things, and he does not respond to pressure ( I mean who does right?)
He is now recognizing that he must attempt all new things at least twice in order to succeed.
This minor rewiring of his mindset to not begrudge or belittle himself on failure of first attempt- it has become a simply acceptable stepping stone towards his 2nd and more enthusiastic attempt.
Now none of this is rocket science - it is simply a way to skip that mindful disharmony that we can all become consumed with.
This powerful yet simple method can help boost your self-confidence and your self dependence so that when you find yourself moving through painful or tough obstacles, there is a pathway to a happier result and future.
