How do we improve the odds of Getting it Right? Maree-LYF 4U

Hello and always a warm welcome to you,

This is a community complimentary service...4U.

Have you had a time when you know you didnt listen to your gut, when later because of that, it was all  wrong?

I know I have.

How do we improve our odds  ?

I left college at 15 years old- so I could leave home.

To leave home I needed money - to pay for somewhere to live and eat.

To pay for somewhere to live and eat - I needed a job..any job would do.

I knew it was right for me to leave college, home, and find my own feet.

I began working  in a factory sewing underwear 5 days a week.

It was hot and noisy, but I soon got into the rhythm of the machine's drones, and actually enjoyed it much of the time.

It was the right choice at that time.

Tuning into your inner guidance- your RAS  (Reticular Activating System)

Eventually my natural pull to help people told me I wasn't doing the right thing.

What is your natural internal pull towards?

What did you love to do as a child that remained with you ?

My next Right.

I figured now having somewhere to live it was the right time to change careers.

 I applied for a job as  a nurse's aide.

It felt right as I was helping people. I must confess that at 17 years old being introduced to naked elderly was a bit of a shock...but one that I soon adjusted to when I found my smile connecting with theirs.

I was proud to help.

I recall also being taught the" 5 rights of medication".

I loved this role of helping those in need...which I still do today.

As a then Nurses Aid, I trained and became Caregiver, then trained up  again and became the North Island's 1st  Diversional Therapist..I then trained up to become a Diversioanl Therapists assessor..helping other Rest Home and trainees also achieve their DT  badge.

All this managed to happen while we were milking cows, and raising 2 sons. When you are doing what's right, life seems to find space for you..

One of the key factors in nursing  was to be sure to deliver any medications residents needed correctly.( back then the Nurse Aide did this)

Those 5 rights were very helpful, and still are today as a Coach many years on.

We are all individuals, with very individual needs and rights.

Now as a Personal Development Coach each awesome client I walk with has a very individually designed profile and program specific to them only.

What is right for one definitely may not be for another.

When you are in a place of indecisiveness....it can be difficult to take a step either away, forward, or to the side...check in with yourself always. Be willing to change or train and advance yourself through skillset and do what is right 4U.

MAREES WEEKLY MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE

Doing what's right ( it may at times not feel hard going- yet doing what's right is always what's right. And when you constantly do what's right, great things happen.

So here is my take on the 5 rights to life management that you too may find useful.

1. Are you the right person?

2. Is this the right time?

3. Are you living true to your inner pull/guide??

4. Does this seem like you are on the right path when you do this?

5. Lastly- You have a right to be happy...does this bring you to peace about your decision?

If you are finding you are not getting your life right ,remember to seek help. I know I needed it.

Life is too precious to waste getting it wrong.. am I right?
