Are you overwhelmd too easily?

I appreciate that you are here.. and I mean that you take this 1-2 minute to read and reflect and awaken a deeper awareness.

Depression has always been common-yet  it is spoken about far more now, as we are far more open with emotions.

It causes a variety of hugely emotional imbalances. From our environmental pressure , to our soft genetics, values, beliefs and how we lean into many types of addictions that are new in many ways. 

There are many triggers, so much more..than this tip of the mental iceberg.

Today's topic is about the device addictive part it plays... 

From the psychological traps like how many likes you receive, How glamourous life looks in pics. To the inability to distinguish between reality and fantasy. 

To  me the more concerning  bigger addiction is that our brain is learning to tap into quick fix Dopamine hits..

This fast flicking through reels and posts seeking instant attention and rewards...I have done it, caught in a spiral of zombie-like dissociation.

Yet it is so utterly temporary, that it does "nothing" to improve your mind/emotions/life.

​If you are finding yourself glued to your device (especially outside of working hours) you may want to change your usage time and reprioritise yourself..


 Over Device time is highly destructive to our attention capacity for memory storage, and causes huge deficits in everyday life.

I am working with great clients who struggle to hold long term attention either in class or the board room without feeling bored.

Or being unable to read a whole book without feeling the need to be distracted too easily...or not finish the book...not see it through.

That instant gratification, the inability to endure longer term goals for a greater result is hugely diminished through Device addiction.

Many people I see have lost the ability of  how to be grounded, to be free, to be themselves. to live in truth, to say no, or how to balance life.

Their expectations, media competitions are too high.

Self esteem is a constant battle.

Suggestion

What if you began a new habit, where 1 day or 3 hours per day that you were devise free?

In fact if you live to be 80yrs old , and you spend more than 3 hours a day on your device ,you will have spent 10 yrs on yours!

Makes you think ....

I understand we are all linked to the media, yet....I'm using a device right now...and Like you I  appreciate the power of communication, to be able to contact clients or loved ones overseas- to reach out and help.

Yet there are man-made pressures everywhere!

CHANGE;

To replace one thing with something else, especially something of the same kind that is newer or better.

I admire some people who dont work on Sundays.

Our local baker- as an example- do they suffer for it- it appears not- but what a wonderful example for us of family/life balance that sends.

I'm not saying we can all do that. 

Life spins around in constant-hospitals, many businesses, like farms or hospitality ,  must remain open and so on.​ Although that ahhhhh slow Sunday roast mentality is something that can be implemented on your specific "day off"quite easily.


Do you really need to post this or that?

Do you really need that many media sites? Or are you wasting your precious life lost in zombie dissociation ville too.?

What if you simply witnessed the event with 100% attention, what if you played and engagedfully?

What if you did not record every moment of every event to upload- does it matter if you upload it to this or that person?

What if you changed things for the better?

So that you can live in true alignment and have healthier mind/body/emotional balance, so that you feel in harmony within.

So you can be calmer, more confident, and process every day in a more free flowing mind rhythm.


So that when you pass..when you pass...know you did more than just live to exist or get through, but you actually really lived for life.

As we slide into the cooler months (for those on this side of the equator), now is the time to be sure your hearts or past hurts are healed, so as not to carry them into the darker days of autumn and winter.

If you need to really get the ultimate "FIX" you are your best project, you are your ultimate media that should not be swiped.
