How to keep Christmas Simple and Significant

Hello and Welcome,

Are you noticing the hype out there? I know I am. Too often money becomes the biggest stress factor at Christmas., especially when you have a big family or compromised income. The lack of it to buy gifts for the families What if we dialed things back to days of old, days when a memory is made, that will last rather than wasting excess money on things that won't. What if we remembered the power of play, of true connections, of love, and of what really matters.

How do I do that you may be asking? Here are 10 fun family suggestions These are simple suggestions to not only brighten your day, but create priceless moments with minimal financial outlay.

1. Hat n Sack Races - simple adult sized sacks, and a santa hat , 2. Festive egg n spoon race- Have the kids paint up the egg, or decorate a spoon 1st 3. Seasonal sensory - Blind folded on while unwrapping a gift- and guessing what it is by touch or smell- for the fun of it 4. Prank Plate Present- this has been a tradition in our home for some time- whatever gift is on your plate must be worn.....the host can wrap hats, bears, tails, wigs, masks etc etc- it adds fun in the expectations as well.. 5.Hide and seek one gift each gift outside , not unlike eggs at easter 6. Festive Rounders, again all participating wearing hats, and (for each successful bat a festive candy or drink, can be consumed-optional) 7. Father or Mother Christmas, or an elf are wonderful for the kids, pick someone to play the part 8.Have a Christmas play list- for indoor or outdoor dancing- the older kids like to assume DJ duty 9. Have a good ol guitar and sing song 10. At the end of the day ensure everyone shares their favourite part of the day to set their memory to take away, and perhaps a few goodies in a bag too.

I can assure you these moments will last, Your pockets will be less empty , And your hearts will be full and richer than before.

Merry Christmas Everybody, Keep it simple, significant and special.
